An Important Reminder for Tenants

AUGUST 19, 2020 –

There is NO moratorium on evictions. You can be evicted for nonpayment of rent – even if the reason you cannot pay is related to COVID-19 job loss.

Please note:  If you live in federally subsidized housing, or if your property has a government backed mortgage, your landlord MUST give you a 30 day notice of nonpayment before they can file an eviction against you.

If you have received a “Notice to Leave the Premises” and cannot pay rent due to the COVID-19 outbreak, you may be eligible for rental assistance. Please contact the following agencies for rental assistance:

Hamilton County Community Action Agency:  513-569-1840 option #4 or epa@cincy-caa.org

Talbert House:  513-338-8596

Freestore Foodbank:  513-482-4500
